Nirala said he joined the JD(U) because he had been impressed with development activities initiated by the chief minister.

The ruling JD(U) in Bihar received a shot in the arm ahead of the Assembly election later this year when a senior RJD MLA joined the party.
Shrikant Nirala, who represented Maner Assembly seat for the last 15 years, switched over to the JD(U) in the presence of chief minister Nitish Kumar at Maner, near here.
Nirala said he joined the JD(U) because he had been impressed with development activities initiated by the chief minister.
