Manish Sisodia rubbished reports about three AAP MLAs joining BJP

Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Manish Sisodia on Monday rubbished reports about three AAP MLAs joining the BJP, and claimed that these rumours were spread in order to malign the image of the party.

"I cannot understand is there some BJP shop in Goa where they would sell themselves. They just went there as they had a planned trip, but the manner in which it was presented that AAP MLAs went to switch sides," Sisodia told ANI while reacting on rumours about three AAP MLAs joining BJP after they reportedly went on a trip to Goa.

"If the Congress or BJP MLAs go outside no one raises any questions. I also go outside as an MLA, others also go outside. I don't understand why such rumours are spread. I somehow feel this is a conspiracy and that there is an attempt to create a bad impression about the AAP MLAs. This is an attempt to bring down the AAP's credibility. Not a single AAP MLAs will walk out of the party," he said here.

The AAP leader said that the party had full faith on its MLAs and that if there was any doubts about those three MLAs switching over to the BJP then they would have been asked about their trip.

Sisodia also asked if anyone could name as to whom the AAP MLAs tried to meet in the first place and blamed the BJP for spreading such rumours.

"BJP has failed in its attempt to break any MLAs from us hence such rumours are created. There is no clarification as to whom did they meet," he added.

"Is it Goa's Chief Minister who is deciding who will form the government in Delhi?," he asked.

"Goa is part of India hence they had visited there. MLAs from the BJP go to Singapore, Hong Kong, so what is wrong in it," he further asked.

According to reports three AAP MLAs-Prakash Jarwal, Dharmendra Koli and Ashok Chauhan had allegedly went on a trip to Goa sparking fears that they might join the BJP. All the three AAP MLAs landed in Goa before being contacted by the party and asked to immediately return to Delhi.

Recently Arvind Kejriwal –led AAP had urged the Lieutenant Governor of Delhi, Najeeb Jung that he needs to revise his letter to President Pranab Mukherjee and tell him that the BJP shouldn't be invited to form a government in Delhi after the sting operation conducted by the party, had shown that BJP leader Sher Singh Dagar had allegedly tried to bribe AAP MLAs.

The Supreme Court has adjourned the hearing of the case on Delhi Government formation till October 10.

The apex court had earlier asked the Centre to take a decision on holding Delhi Assembly elections following a petition filed by the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) asking for the dissolution of the Assembly and fresh polls.

Delhi has been under President's rule since Arvind Kejriwal resigned as chief minister February 14 after being in office for 49 days.
