The weather agency, IMD, said that today and tomorrow will likely see significant rainfall over Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Gujarat, and Maharashtra, as well as over the northeast for the following three days before decreasing.

The emergence of a new cyclonic circulation over the northwest and adjacent West Central Bay of Bengal would lead to an increase in rainfall activity over Odisha, Andhra Pradesh, and Telangana starting on September 12, according to the India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Saturday.

Forecasts for East India are for mild to moderate, widely dispersed to widespread rainfall, along with thunderstorms and lightning. Today, isolated areas of West Bengal and Bihar south of the Himalayas should expect heavy rain.

The IMD stated in its advisory that the Andaman and Nicobar Islands "are expected to have these weather conditions until September 12 while Odisha will likely encounter them on September 12 and 13." Showers in South India are expected to be light to moderately widespread to widespread, with occasional heavy rainfall, especially today and tomorrow in the ghat regions of Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, and Karaikal.

Till Monday, Kerala and Mahe should prepare for similar circumstances. On September 12 and 13, similar weather trends are forecast to affect coastal Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, according to the IMD. Light to moderate to widespread rainfall, thunderstorms, and lightning are forecast for Central India from now till September 11, with isolated heavy rains expected mostly in Madhya Pradesh.

Additionally, the same circumstances are predicted to occur on Saturday and Sunday in the Konkan, Goa, and Madhya Maharashtra. On Saturday, the Konkan, Goa, Madhya Maharashtra, and Gujarat regions are expected to have a few isolated, very heavy downpours.

Light to moderate scattered to widespread thunderstorms and rainfall are anticipated in the northeast through September 12, with isolated severe rainfall over Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, and Tripura. The IMD warned that weather in Arunachal Pradesh could be expected to be similar on September 11 and Sunday.

On Tuesday (September 12), there is a prediction for a few isolated areas of very heavy rainfall over Assam and Meghalaya. Whereas in Northwest India, isolated severe rainfall activity is anticipated over East Rajasthan on Saturday, Uttar Pradesh today and tomorrow, and Uttarakhand on September 13.
