BIDA, set to emerge in Jhansi district, marks the first major industrial and commercial development project in Uttar Pradesh in nearly five decades. Inspired by the success of Noida and Greater Noida, it aims to create similar thriving hubs, ushering in a new era of economic growth in the region.

The project, which will strengthen the vital Jhansi defence corridor, is expected to boost Bundelkhand's development by creating numerous job opportunities through infrastructure improvements. Finance Minister Suresh Khanna announced the initial acquisition of 35,000 acres. Furthermore, approval for a new industrial township similar to Noida under the Chief Minister's Industrial Area Expansion and New Industrial Area Promotion Scheme is an important step forward.

Bundelkhand is also embarking on a significant development with a 296-km-long expressway featuring solar panels on both sides. This pioneering project, UP's inaugural solar expressway, is part of the state's ambitious plan to reach a target of 22,000 MW in solar power projects by 2026-27. It symbolises a commitment to clean energy and sustainable infrastructure, marking a substantial step towards Uttar Pradesh's renewable energy goals.
