ACB arrests fire officer for taking bribe in Hyderabad

A fire officer was arrested by the sleuths of Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) on corruption charges in East Godavari district of Andhra Pradesh today.

P Sreeramulu, a fire officer and posted at Prathipadu fire station, was caught red-handed when he took a bribe of Rs 1,500 from the complainant for issuing a certificate for claiming insurance, ACB sources said.
    
The complainant had approached the fire officer for the certificate in connection with the fire accident occurred recently in his residence in which a buffalo died for which insurance is to be claimed, sources said.
