Grammy winner music composer Ricky Kej slammed comedian-writer Trevor Noah for cancelling his Bengaluru show during his India tour. Trevor wrapped up his India tour after his much-talked-about Bengaluru gig which couldn’t happen due to technical glitches. The comedian shared a thank-you note on his X (formerly Twitter), on Wednesday and uploaded several pictures from his visit to India. After Trevor shared the post, Ricky wrote a lengthy note about the same, and even called him a 'complacent and irresponsible artist'.

On X, Ricky wrote, "While I do agree that there were many Event Management related problems in the Bengaluru show for @Trevornoah.. there is something known as a "Soundcheck" and "Venue recce" that every responsible and caring artist carries out before a show. If Trevor Noah really bothered about his ticket-purchasing fans, then he would have made it a point to arrive earlier in the day (or the previous night) and personally carried out a reconnaissance of the venue, tested out his microphone and ensured that the sound was optimum. I am sure he does that at other prestigious venues all over the world, and I am shocked to realize he did not bother to do this in Bengaluru. This is the artists responsibility. Every artist/comedian/band has personal sound requirements and preferences.. and to just show up for the event, without even checking your sound is hugely irresponsible. It was the audience that got punished in the process... audiences that paid money and travelled to experience him."

He further said, "This is definitely a case of terrible event management, but more importantly a very complacent and irresponsible artist with a complete disregard for his paying fans (and India).. who blames everyone and everything but himself." At last, he hoped that the event management and ticket-booking app would take legal action against Trevor

As per IANS, Trevor was forced to cancel his shows in Bengaluru because of technical issues. Now, as he flew back to his home, he promised the city to return saying 'The story isn’t done yet'. Taking to his X, he wrote: "India. What an experience it was coming and performing in your country for the first time. Thank you for sharing your rich history, your delicious cuisine and your fantastic arguments with me. Thank you to everyone who came out to the shows in Delhi and Mumbai because you made it truly unforgettable."

He further mentioned, “Bangalore, our story isn't done, I'll be back and next time we'll make sure it's the best show ever," he wrote on X while sharing pictures of his India trip. A week ago, Trevor had cancelled his show on September 27 and issued an apology to fans for the inconvenience. Taking to his X, Trevor wrote at the time: "Dear Bengaluru India, I was so looking forward to performing in your amazing city but due to technical issues we’ve been forced to cancel both shows." Both the scheduled shows in Bengaluru were set to take place at the Manpho Convention Centre on September 27 and 28.
