Bipasha Basu rubbishes reports of beau John Abraham insuring his butt; talks on completing ten years in the industry
Sex symbol Bipasha Basu is all set to de-glam yet again after Lamhaa, this time as a school teacher in Priyadarshan’s Aakrosh.
But she clarifies that she has no plans to shed her sexy image. “I love being glamorous. But I think I have done enough of that. I am at a stage in my career where I want to do meaningful films, and Aakrosh is one of them”, she says.
Bipasha has come a long way since Jism, having completed a decade in the industry. Yet the actor believes that she’s remained constant as a person. “Anybody who knows me will say that I haven’t changed at all. Yes, you do learn a lot from instances and incidents but as an individual I don’t think I have changed.”
And since we are on the topic of films, it’s only but natural to ask her about her actor beau, John Abraham. It’s been a long time since the pair was last seen on screen. “John and I need another Jism to bring us together in a film,” quips the actor.
As if sensing the next question, Bipasha is quick to add that she’s bored of questions that ask her about their plans to tie the knot.
“John and I are in no hurry to tie the knot. And even our parents are in no hurry to get us married. It is just the media that wants to see us married. Besides, I am just 31. I am at my best phase in life, personally as well as professionally. I am happy and content,” she elaborates.
Does she have plans to insure her butt like John is reported to have done? The question is enough to make her burst into peals of laughter. “The entire thing was a big joke that got blown out of proportion. I live with him and I know for a fact nothing like that is happening. And even if it were, I want to know where he is getting them insured from,” states the actor with a laugh.
