Watching AR Rahman at a concert is a treat in itself, imagine what will happen if you see the maestro create music out of thin air.

Using DrumPants, a wearable sensor kit developed by Tyler Freeman a San Francisco-based musician, AR Rahman, Sivamani and troop recreated the magic of 'Jai Ho' from the movie Slumdog Millionaire.

To be featured in a reality show called America's Greatest Makers, where innovators from the United States of America will compete for a prize of $1 million, DrumPants started as a practical joke. These sensors let you make music using no instruments, just sensors strapped to your body. You can choose the sound you want to make from a bank of 100+ installed, from a controller that attaches to a belt buckle. You can then upload your creations to a smartphone app via Bluetooth.

There are 2 foot pedals and 2 drum pads which you can attach to your body. Connect it to the controller compatible with iOS and android. Combined with the expander kit which has 6 more sensors, you don't need an instrument to play the music. Do beatboxing, drumming while you are sitting in a chair or dancing on a floor, or being AR Rahman on world stage!
