Imran Khan borrows Akshay Kumar’s make-up man’s jeans

Actor Imran Khan who is currently shooting for the sequel of Once Upon a Time in Mumbaai has got so involved with his character of a tapori in the film that he is doing everything possible to get his look right.

The actor was apparently looking for a particular style of jeans  that was popular in the eighties but couldn’t find it. Just when he thought of giving up, he spotted his co-star Akshay Kumar’s make-up man wearing it! A surprised Imran requested Akshay to ask his make-up man to lend the jeans.

Since the film is based in the eighties, Imran’s look is dedicated to the heroes of that era. That’s also the reason, the actor was looking for the bell-bottom styled jeans which were a rage in the eighties but are not in vogue any more. The spokesperson confirms, “Imran was struggling to get this particular kind of jeans for a long time, but when he spotted this bell-bottom jeans worn by Akshay’s make-up man, he couldn’t resist asking for them and finally got them.”

Apart from his look, Imran has also picked up the Mumbaiya dialect. He is said to have met a few people from the underbelly to observe their body language and imbibe the nuances. He also practiced riding a heavy duty bike as a particular sequence in the film requires him to chase his enemies on a bike maneuvering it through the narrow lanes and bylanes of Mumbai.
