Catching up with Ramya

The fact that she’s not just another pretty actor was proved when she won the Youth Congress and was chosen as one of the three Global Shapers from India by the World Economic Forum. And she did all that without compromising on her commitments. And today, as she celebrates her 29th birthday, Ramya is taking a break from all the busy schedules and packed calendars. “I am off to an unknown surprise destination to celebrate my birthday quietly,” she says, adding, “But before I disappear, I want to tell people that I am overwhelmed by all the birthday wishes I have been receiving for the past two days; it’s amazing!”

As far as her work is concerned, Ramya is on a high, “Siddlingu will release soon, Lucky is also almost ready and the audio is releasing next month… So I am on super-happy mode. In Lucky, I play a very challenging role so I am quite sure my fans will be in for a surprise,” she says.

But that’s not all. Ramya is also shooting with Upendra for Kattari Veera Sura Sudarangi currently. “It’s a 3D film in Kannada — a first of sorts. The film is about a fantasy world and it’s beautiful; I play Indraja, the daughter of Lord Indra with some very elaborate and ethereal costumes!” she adds.
