BTS member Suga has given his fans an update on his health. The singer, who had undergone shoulder surgery two months back, said that he is unable to move his arms to even 90 degress yet. Suga took to Instagram and during his live session, he gave a health update to the ARMY (BTS fans).

"I see your messages here and there.. you don't have to worry. It's just upsetting, right? I just can't use my left arm. I can't even hold stuff properly. Rock-paper-scissors was possible from just the day after the surgery (laughs)," Suga, also known as Yoongi, said in the video.

"I can't raise my arm to 90 degrees yet. It feels like it's not my arm, like it's the arm of an infant. Since it doesn’t move well it does hurt a bit. I heard it will take about six months [to recover]," he added during the video which he recorded live on December 28.

Suga however gave a surprise to his fans by stating that he might actually attend BTS' Big Hit Labels' year-end concert, 2021 New Year's Eve Live. "Since my recovery is going well, I'll probably attend," he revealed.

Yoongi's shoulder surgery took place in November. However, the singer has not completely recovered and is unable to use his left arm yet.

Informing about his condition, Suga had released a statement that read, "Hello. This is Suga. After the announcement released, a lot of people worried about me and I'm sorry and really thankful..! Really thankful the surgery went well. Current state, I feel pain but I feel very relieved. As my occupation deals with performing on stage, I tried not to get the surgery and hold it with rehab and injections but as the condition repeatedly got worse every time I got on stage, I got worried."

"So, I decided to get surgery after hearing from three of the hospitals out of four, who said in the current state, it is recommended to get surgery... (I thought about it a lot..!) So, for the time being, I can't be on schedule. I feel sorry to my members and I feel sorry to ARMY too. It's very regretful to me also...," he had shared.

Yoongi had assured ARMY, "Although we will be apart for a short time being for fast recovery, I'll come back as fast as possible. It won't be too long! I apologise once again and thank you ARMY."

Previously, BTS' agency Big Hit Entertainment released a statement informing of the condition. It read, "Suga underwent surgery to repair his torn shoulder labrum on November 3. The surgery, to address a problem that had constantly been a health and wellness issue for Suga, was completed successfully, and he is currently resting and recovering following his physician's advice that Suga must undergo a strict and unhindered period of recovery."

"As many fans know, Suga has long suffered from shoulder-related health issues. His shoulder issues began when he was injured in an accident that occurred in 2012 before his debut, and he was diagnosed with a dislocated shoulder in 2013. Shoulder pains continued until he was further diagnosed in 2019 with 'posterior labral tear of his left shoulder', which means that the cartilage around his left shoulder joint has been torn. Since then, he has continued to receive various treatment to prevent his injury from affecting his activities," the statement continued.
