In preparation for the 2023 Asia Cup, Virat Kohli decided to get a new haircut. On Monday, August 28, the former captain of India, who is also a fashion hero for many, displayed his distinctive hairdo, known as the mullet.

Kohli shared his picture on Instagram story and captioned it “Always does a top job. My man @alfahadahmed.”

His new look went viral on social media in no time. Kohli’s haircut was done by Alfahad Ahmed. He has over 9000 followers on Instagram and is also followed by Virat Kohli.

Alfad reshares the story on his Instagram and says thanks to Aalim Hakim for giving him the opportunity.

Days prior to Kohli's new appearance, wicketkeeper-batsman Ishan Kishan had copied MS Dhoni's hairstyle from Aalim Hakim.

On the field front, Kohli was last seen in action in the opening ODI against the West Indies. He didn't have to bat. By a margin of five wickets, the Men in Blue triumphed. The batsman, who was born in Delhi, and the captain, Rohit Sharma, were both rested for the second and third ODIs.

Kohli has so far scored 613 runs in 11 ODIs during the Asia Cup at an average of 61.30, with three 100s and a top score of 183.

In a 50-over format, he needs 102 runs to break the record for fastest to 13,000 runs. Tendulkar currently owns the record, needing 321 innings to get there. So far, Kohli has played 265 innings in ODIs.
