Kapil Sharma asked a question on how Suresh Raina managed to convince Priyanka for the marriage. Suresh Raina wittily replied, “Maine bahut setting kari, paaji” (Had to do plenty of setting, brother). Suresh Raina and Priyanka married on April 3, 2015 and the former India cricket batsman is a proud father to Gracia and Rio. Lockdown joke on his kid
Kapil Sharma then decided to tease the couple with a question on Rio’s birth. Suresh Raina’s baby boy was born on the day PM Narendra Modi announced the nationwide lockdown in March 2020 due to the coronavirus pandemic. When Kapil Sharma asked whether it was planned, Raina responded, “Hum pehle se hi planning kar rahe the, lockdown mein nahi kiya (We had planned before itself. It was not done in lockdown).
Suresh Raina announced his retirement from international cricket on the same day as MS Dhoni did on August 15, 2020. MS Dhoni brought an end to his 16-year playing career internationally as he made an announcement on Instagram with a montage of his photos and with the backdrop of the song ‘Main Pal do Pal ka Shayar hoon’ from the Amitabh Bachchan starrer Kabhie Kabhie.
