Just a few months ago, Chennai Super Kings captain MS Dhoni celebrated his 42nd birthday with his friends and family in his Ranchi farmhouse. On this occasion, one of his former CSK colleagues shared a video of him mastering music just as he has mastered his cricket skills.

Mohit Sharma, former CSK player and pacer, took to Instagram to wish MS Dhoni a happy birthday and shared an old video of the CSK skipper singing a song with his friends. Dhoni could be seen sitting in his jersey and singing the popular song Salaam-E-Ishq.

In the now-viral video posted by Mohit Sharma, who was still part of the winning IPL team at the time, Dhoni can be heard singing Lata Mangeshkar and Kishore Kumar’s famous tune, ‘Salaam-e-Ishq Meri Jaan’, from the film ‘Muqaddar Ka Sikandar.’

Wishing the CSK skipper a very happy birthday, his ex-colleague wrote, “Dii duwaye tumhe umar bhar ke liye (Petitions for you for your entire life)… Blissful birthday Mahi bhai.” Notably, Mohit Sharma was an important piece of Chennai Super Kings, and played 47 matches as part of the team from 2013 to 2015.

This viral video of MS Dhoni stunned fans and took them by surprise with the former Indian captain’s singing skills. The netizens couldn’t stop gushing over Mahi’s adorable viral video and started comparing him to legendary singers.

One Instagram user commented, “Ab Samajh aaya Arijit Singh ne pair kyu pakde the”. Many other netizens ended up comparing him to Arijit Singh and other classic Bollywood singers, impressed with MS Dhoni’s hidden talent.

MS Dhoni is considered to be one of the most liked and popular cricketers of all time but doesn’t remain active on social media. As a result, there are very few videos and photos available in the media of the former Team India skipper.
