Neeraj Chopra's historic victory in the men's javelin event at the World Athletics Championship 2023 in Budapest gave India great pride. At the World Athletics Championships in Budapest, Hungary, the Indian 4x400-meter relay team made history with a magnificent display of tenacity and talent.

Muhammed Anas, Amoj Jacob, Muhammed Ajmal Variyathodi, and Rajesh Ramesh are members of the group that made history in Indian sports. The underdog Indian relay team made history on August 26 during the crucial competition by being the first Indian team to qualify for a World Championship final in addition to shattering the Asian record.

They had tough competition in the heat, particularly the American team. Instead of cracking under pressure, the Indian athletes showed incredible confidence, turning in a display that astounded both analysts and audience members.

Who is Rajesh Ramesh?

Rajesh Ramesh, one of these athletes, has had a resilient path. Injuries, employment obligations, and the COVID-19 pandemic's effects on his career caused obstacles despite his early entry into the field and participation in the 2018 U20 World Championships.

For Ramesh, the idea of competing at this level seemed like a dream ust a few years ago. He was working as a ticket checker at the Trichy Railway Station in 2020, where he claimed he was doing a poor job. Ramesh continues to serve as an example of good sportsmanship today as well as his journey from a train platform to the world arena of athletics.

The 24-year-old recently won the 400-meter semifinals at the Federation Cup in Ranchi with a time of 46.13 seconds, beating the Athletics Federation of India's qualifying time for the Asian Championships of 46.17 seconds.

Ramesh's achievement is made even more impressive by the fact that he overcame seasoned competitors like Mohammed Anas Yahiya, the current national record holder, and Arokia Rajiv, an Asian Games silver medalist and Asian Games bronze medalist. This amazing achievement is proof of the commitment and effort he put forth to revive his career.
