Hema Malini replied back strongly to Dharmendra's 'objection' about her posing with other heroes in an old interview.
Hema Malini and Dharmendra are one of the most famous star couples in Bollywood. The actor tied the knot with the actress in 1980, 26 years after his first marriage with Prakash Kaur. As per reports, the Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani actor didn't divorce his first wife and converted to Islam to marry the Baghban actress.
In a joint interview with the Stardust magazine in 1976 before their marriage, when their relationship rumours were all over the news, Hema Malini had shared that they start each day with a fight. The Dream Girl star had said, "We start each day with a fight. We are fighting all the time. It is he who normally gives in and then we make up. Early in the morning when he comes to see me, he asks, ‘why do you have a long face today and why are you spoiling my mood early in the morning?’ As if I can help it, I am born with a face like this. Then we fight."
In the same interview, the Sholay star said that he has 'objections' to the actress posing with other heroes on the big screen and then, Hema countered him with a strong reply. Talking to the magazine, Dharmendra said, " I object to certain...poses...with the other heroes, you know", and Hema replied, "As if I can’t object! So many times I have caught him in all kinds of pictures with all kinds of people. And he said, ‘It was only for the picture, there was nothing real in it’."
With his first wife, the 87-year-old actor shares four children, two sons Sunny Deol and Bobby Deol, and two daughters Ajieta Deol and Vijeta Deol, and with Hema Malini, Dharmendra has two daughters Esha Deol and Ahana Deol.
