When you have Vidyut Jammwal as a hero in your film, how do you choose which of his skills in action and other martial arts forms should be highlighted? This was the biggest question for Hollywood director Chuck Russell, who makes his Bollywood debut with Junglee, which stars the actor. Chuck, however, adds that it is a good problem to have. In the movie, Vidyut plays a vet who returns to his father’s elephant sanctuary and fights an international poachers’ racket. The film is filled with adventure that will appeal to audiences of all age groups across India.

To make the action new and fresh, Master Chung Chi Li, the Chinese action director who has done many films with Jackie Chan including Rush Hour (1998), Shanghai Noon (2000), Shanghai Knights (2003), was roped in to design the sequences along with Mr See Young Oh, from Korea. The action is not only entertaining but also quirky. Moreover, Vidyut showcases the never-seen-before Kalaripayattu animal flow, in which he moves his body according to various animal forms. Chuck is confident that Junglee will add to the actor’s growing fan base.

Junglee Pictures’ Junglee is a family action adventure about coming home to one’s roots, co-existing with nature and fighting for the right.

Junglee, produced by Vineet Jain and co-produced by Priti Shahani, releases today.
