Adah Sharma, who was previously seen in the Commando film series, Hasee Toh Phasee, and 1920 among others, had the first blockbuster of her career in 2023 in the form of The Kerala Story. The Sudipto Sen directorial became the first female-led film to collect more than Rs 200 crore net in India, eventally ending up with a net collection of Rs 242 crore at the domestic box office.

Since The Kerala Story and the latest release The Vaccine War have been dubbed as propaganda films, the actress was recently asked her opinion on the latter one, which was released in cinemas on September 28. In a conversation with Hindustan Times before The Vaccine War hit theatres, Adah was asked if she has seen the trailer. She answered in affirmative, but refused to comment anythin about the Vivek Agnihotri directorial and explained her reason to do so.

Adah said, "After the Kerala Story, I have learnt that one should not loosely speak about a film without watching the entire film. I remember when The Kerala story was released, there was a teaser released before it. A lot of people decided what the whole film was about after seeing those seconds of teaser. They had opinions about it."

"My only thing was (to people)...at least watch the film and then say something about it. Of course, you can say what you want, it’s a free nation but what if someone watches the poster of Kofuku and says this is about two people who are trying to fly....Till I watch the film, I won’t comment", she added referencing her latest short film Kofuku, in which she stars with Sacred Games and 83 fame Jatin Sarna.
