Kangana Ranaut's Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi has managed to pass the crucial litmus test on Monday. The movie, which not only stars Kangana in the lead but also marks her debut as a director, has collected a total of Rs 47.65 crore in just four days of its release. 

After recording an opening of Rs 8.75 crore on Friday, and an opening weekend of Rs 42.44 crore, Mankarnika has also raked in decent numbers on Monday. The film minted a total of Rs 5.10 crore on day four, which is about 41.71% decline when compared to its day one collections, but the figures are modest, considering that it was a working weekday. 

Manikarnika is also facing competition from Nawazuddin Siddiqui starrer Thackeray which released on the same day as Kangana's film. Moreover, Vicky Kaushal's URI: The Surgical Strike and Ranveer Singh's Simmba, which are still running successfully in the theatres. 

Trade analyst Taran Adarsh took to his Twitter account to share the box office collection figures of Manikarnika, He wrote, "#Manikarnika is decent on crucial Mon. Decline on Day 4 [vis-à-vis Day 1]: 41.71%... North circuits continue to lead... Week 1 should be close to ₹ 60 cr [as per trends]... Fri 8.75 cr, Sat 18.10 cr, Sun 15.70 cr, Mon 5.10 cr. Total: ₹ 47.65 cr. India biz. #Hindi #Tamil #Telugu"

As of now, Manikarnika is riding high on an extremely positive word of mouth and postive reviews from the critics. The movie is expected to close in its first week collections around Rs 60 crore as per the current trend. Watch this space...
