Kerala Floods: Amitabh Bachchan donates Rs 51 Lakh, 80 jackets, 40 shoes and more to relief fund

People from all around the country have come forward to contribute to Kerala. Superstar Amitabh Bachchan, who is known to be at the forefront of admirable causes and charitable initiatives, has reportedly donated his personal belongings for Kerala CM's Distress Relief Fund, which is coordinated by sound designer Resul Pookutty.

A source close to Mr. Resul Pookutty has said that Mr. Bachchan has not only donated Rs 51 lakhs cash but he has also sent six cartons of his personal clothing including 80 jackets, 25 pants, 20 shirts, scarves and 40 shoes!

Other B-Town celebrities like Shah Rukh Khan, Akshay Kumar, Hrithik Roshan, Sushant Singh Rajput, Vidya Balan and Jacqueline Fernandez have also stepped forward to help flood-ridden Kerala.

On the professional front, Big B is currently working on three films namely - Ayan Mukerji's 'Brahmastra', Sujoy Ghosh's 'Badla' and Aamir Khan starrer 'Thugs Of Hindostan'.
