Buzz is: Arijit Singh in talks with Salman Khan to sing for him for the first time

Recently, a lot of reports stating that Salman Khan may have got Arijit Singh's song removed from the upcoming film Welcome To New York, were doing the rounds. Naturally, it got the fans talking about their alleged fallout during the release of Salman's super hit film Sultan. 

In case you forgot, just before the song Jag Ghoomeya from Sultan was released, Arijit Singh, in a long Facebook post had shared that he had sung the scratch of the song and had pleaded with Salman to retain his version of the song in the film. He had also written that apparently Salman was angry with him over a light-hearted conversation that took place between them during a previous award function. 

When the song Jag Ghoomeya came out, it was for the world to see that the version that was sung by Rahat Fateh ali Khan made it to the film. However, it was clarified that the actor has no say in which version of the song it to be retained in the film as the decision rests with the producers, director and composer of the film. 

While the speculations about Salman throwing out Arijit Singh from a song in Welcome To New York were still doing the rounds, turns out that Salman and Arijit may in fact be collaborating for their first song together. If a BollywoodLife report is to be believed, than the two are in talks for the same as well.

A source close to the actor was quoted as saying, "Salman is very keen on collaborating with Arijit and has already approached him for one of his upcoming films. There’s no truth to reports of Salman banning Arijit from his films. It would be advisable for everyone to stop spreading baseless rumours and wait for an official announcement."

Regarding the controversy surrounding the ouster of Arijit's song from welcome To New York, another source had earlier told the portal, "ne needs to get this right that Welcome To New York is not Salman’s film. He just has one special appearance in the film so why will he even get into the music space? He himself is surprised after reading these basless reports. Maybe Arijit could have lost out on the song because of his own monetary differences with the producers. After all, it’s the producers who take the final call.”
