Sunny Deol's action-packed sequel Gadar 2 has been a massive success at the box office as the film has become only the third Hindi film to earn Rs 500 crore in India after Shah Rukh Khan's Pathaan and the Hindi dubbed version of SS Rajamouli's Baahubali 2: The Conclusion.
The Gadar 2 team has been holding multiple success parties in Mumbai. The grandest of them all happened on Saturday, September 3, which was attended by almost everyone from the Hindi film industry. However, one superstar was missing from the occasion and he was Akshay Kumar.
While various rumours circulated that Akshay Kumar avoided Gadar 2's success bash because the film clashed with his own OMG 2, which had released on the same day as Sunny Deol-starrer and has also collected over Rs 100 crore in India. But the reality seems to be far from these reports.
A source was quoted telling IndiaToday.in, "Akshay has been busy shooting for Sky Force in Lucknow. Though he missed the party, Kumar sent his warm regards to Sunny over a phone call." Sky Force is being directed by Abhishek Kapoor and Sandeep Kelwani, and also stars Nimrat Kaur and Sara Ali Khan, as per the reports since no official announcement about the film has been made yet.
Talking about Gadar 2's success bash, multiple celebrities including Shah Rukh Khan, Aamir Khan, Salman Khan, Ajay Devgn, Kajol, Sidharth Malhotra, Kiara Advani, Varun Dhawan, Arjun Kapoor, Shahid Kapoor, Sara Ali Khan, Kartik Aaryan, Anupam Kher, Jackie Shroff, Anil Kapoor, Abbas-Mustan, Karan Johar, Zoya Akhtar, Aditya Roy Kapur, Ananya Panday, Vicky Kaushal, Boney Kapoor, Sanjay Dutt, Dharmendra, Johnny Lever, and others attended the party.
