Deepika Padukone says it's not 'awkward' that her best friend Alia Bhatt is in a relationship with her ex flame Ranbir Kapoor, Watch promo
Karan Johar has just dropped the promo of the the very first episode of his chat show Koffee With Karan season 6 and by the looks of it, it's going to be sassy, funny and full of revelations as B-Town celebs get candid on the show. The promo of the first episode shows Alia Bhatt and Deepika Padukone opening this season. Karan's favourite Shah Rukh Khan goes missing from the grand premiere episode of KWK 6 but we aren't complaining as the ladies in the room will be seen talking about the 'elephant-in-the-room', i.e., Ranbir Kapoor.
You've got to be living under a rock if you're not aware that Deepika Padukone's bestie Alia Bhatt is in a relationship with her (DP's) ex flame Ranbir Kapoor. Now, while many may believe that such a situation may make things awkward between the gal pals, contrary to popular belief, that doesn't seem to be the case with Alia and Deepika. Why do we say so?
Well, as per the promo for the first episode, when Karan Johar, being the gracious host that he is, tells Alia and Deepika that he promises that he won't talk about the 'elephant-in-the-room' (hinting at Ranbir Kapoor), the two ladies promptly ask him why won't he do that and even say, "In fact, we must talk about the elephant-in-the-room". Deepika even goes on to add, "Don't try and make it awkward because it's not".
Not just that, Alia ends up burping on national TV and when asked who between them will get married first, both the actreses point at each other. To this, Karan and Alia say that Deepika is lying (by implying that Alia will get hitched first). The Q and A round too seems to have an interesting twist with the inclusion of tasks such as calling up another actress and saying "Hey Karan it's me" to the host.
