Apple launches outrageously priced Rs 1900 'Polishing Cloth' to clean its devices

The launch of the new MacBook Pro with two new high-performance chips was the highlight of the recently concluded Apple ‘Unleashed’ Event. Other big updates are the launch of the third-generation AirPods, a new Apple Music plan, and new colours for HomePod Mini.

But what missed most eyes was Apple’s absurd launch of the day – an outrageously priced cleaning cloth. Apple launched what it calls a Polishing Cloth, which is apt to clean any and every Apple device.

Branded with the Apple logo, the polishing cloth is made with “nonabrasive materials” and priced at Rs 1,900 for India. With Apple recommending users to avoid using cloths made of “abrasive” materials and to only use “soft, lint-free cloth”, it has brought out its own solution in a Rs 19,000 piece of cloth. As per the company, the Polishing Cloth is capable of cleaning any Apple display. There is a list of compatible devices for Apple’s new Polishing Cloth.
