This bribe was given to AEN in his office while the superintendent engineer was caught working in Basni while doing electrical work
The Anti-Corruption Bureau on Tuesday arrested Jodhpur Discom Assistant Engineer and Superintendent Engineer for taking the bribe. This bribe was given to AEN in his office while the superintendent engineer was caught working in Basni while doing electrical work. The team searched their residence but could not find any special information. The case has been registered.
ACB Superintendent Ajay Pal Lamba said that Khamma Kanwar, who runs a factory in the Tanawada village of Basni, has a power of 6 kilowatt in the factory. This was to be increased to 18 kilowatts of load. Then his son Swaroop Singh had contacted Jodhpur Discom Assistant Engineer Manoj Deora for this. Deora told that he would increase the load and resolve the matter.
Swaroop Singh had also submitted a file of 1,70,000 in the discom but the load did not increase. On this, the AEN demanded 25 thousand to increase the load. He told that some money has to be given to the Superintending Engineer, Rural, Madan Meghwal for this work.
ACB DSP Jagdish Soni told that, after verification of this complaint, Swaroop Singh was sent to the old power house near the old campus at the office of AEN Manoj Deora in the day, after which he was arrested for taking the bribe.
