The accused fled away from the scene after the crime was uncovered and is yet to be nabbed

Following trifle domestic scuffle, a fifty-year-old man, identified as Suresh Singh Rajput killed his wife, Durgabai Rajput (45) and buried her body in back yard of his house on Monday. It took no longer than 24 hours for the crime to eventually surface with the son of the murdered woman unearthing the body from back yard after sensing something wrong on Tuesday morning. The incident occurred in Boliyabari village under Pedawa police station of Jhalawar district. The accused fled away from the scene after the crime was uncovered and is yet to be nabbed.
"The murder was committed in a fit of anger following brawl. The accused, to conceal his crime, buried her body in the back yard of his house. No one was present at home at that time. When the two sons of the couple got back home from the agriculture field on Monday evening and inquired about their mother, the accused said that she had gone to her brother's home," said Rambharose Meena, SHO of Pedawa police station.
Next morning, the eldest son, Rahul he noticed freshly placed stone slabs in the backyard. Sensing something fishy, he dug them out and the sight of his mother's body left him dumbstruck.
Following the postmortem by medical board last evening, the body was handed over to the mother and two sons of the deceased woman, informed the SHO. The body bore marks of injures at several places however it could not be ascertained how she was murdered, he added. He also said that a case under sections 302 and 201 of IPC was lodged against the accused Suresh Singh Rajput and police teams have been sent at suspected locations to nab him.
