Lata Tandon, a chef from Madhya Pradesh has set a new world record in the domain of cooking on Saturday. Tandon, also a participant of the 'Longest Cooking Marathon' cooked without taking a break for 81 hours.
With this feat, Tandon also became the first Indian as well as Asian to achieve this milestone. Born in the prestigious Digwani family of Rewa, Lata claims she always wanted to become a chef. It was in London where she was training as a professional chef that she resolved to see her name in the Guinness Book of World Records.
With this, she kicked off her quest that ended successfully on Saturday when she surpassed the previous record of 68 hours of non-stop cooking. Previously, the 39-year-old had also participated in the International Indian Chef of the Year contest and stood first there too.
