"The ministers of the AAP think that they are still running a party and not a government. As Arvind Kejriwal removed two leaders from his party, in the same way they are trying to remove officers from the ministry," BJP leader RP Singh said.
The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Thursday alleged that the suspension of two officers by the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP)-led Delhi Government exposed their anarchist approach and said Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal is still running a party.
"The ministers of the AAP think that they are still running a party and not a government. As Arvind Kejriwal removed two leaders from his party, in the same way they are trying to remove officers from the ministry," BJP leader RP Singh said.
"The fact is that those two officers were called to sign on illegal documents and when they denied, they got the papers signed from the junior officers and suspended those two officers. Tomorrow if the Delhi Government says that they have decided to sell the Red Fort, will any officer sign on that? They want to use the anarchist approach in getting their works done," he added.
Minister of State for Parliamentary Affairs and BJP leader Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi on his part said the AAP Government was trying to cover up its failures through repeated conflicts with the Centre and various other agencies. "It is not right to have conflict with the bureaucrats, but they (AAP) always have disputes with various agencies and they think it's their USP. Through these conflicts, they are trying to cover up their failures," Naqvi said.
The BJP's fresh attack on the AAP came a day after the Delhi Government suspended two Home Department officers after they refused to sign on a file which had the Cabinet's nod. The Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) has, however, declared the suspension of Yashpal Garg, Special Secretary (Prosecution), and Subhash Chandra, Special Secretary (Prisons), null and void.
The MHA received Lieutenant Governor Najeeb Jung's reference of suspension of two officers of DANICS and then declared the Delhi Government's suspension order null and void.
