Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi is on his way to the United States of America to attend the United Nations General Assembly.

En route to Washington, US, PM Modi has shared an image of himself sitting inside the plane mid-flight to the other side of the world. PM Modi is seen going through some papers, with three files on top of luggage on the seat next to him.

The PM wrote along with the image, “A long flight also means opportunities to go through papers and some file work.”

Air India One is the official call sign of the VVIP aircrafts used for ferrying Indian President, Vice President and the Prime Minister. Unlike his trip to the US in 2019, the visit remembered for the Howdy Modi event, where PM Modi made stopover in Frankfurt, Germany, this time the Air India One plane is flying non-stop to the US.

This is because of new developed capabilities of the Air India One. The new state-of-the-art aircraft, bought over Rs 4,500 crore, arrived from the US in October 2020. The new aircraft can fly long distances without the need to make stops for refuelling.

This is PM Modi’s second flight on the new Air India One after visiting Bangladesh in March 2021.
