Aquaman 2 promises an epic battle of Arthur Curry and his kingdom against Black Manta and his army of darkness. However, the leading lady of the film Amber Heard got a blink-and-you-miss-it appearance. Amber plays the role of Arthur's wife Mera, and you can see her half-a-second appearance towards the end of the trailer. Clearly, her defamation trial against her ex-husband Johnny Depp has affected her, and it might have impacted her screen time as well.

As soon as the trailer was released, several fans reacted to it. As per media reports, Aquaman 2 would be the last DCEU film from Zack Synder and James Wan's planned series. A netizen wrote, "A perfect trailer cut and a good bye for DC." Another netizen wrote, "I sure I can say that I'm the only person who got very happy when saw this notification. Love you Aqua man. But please get the DCEU back." One of the netizens wrote, "Oww it's really better than other DC film trailer." Aquaman 2 will release in cinemas on December 21, 2023.
