With the wedding season in full swing in B-Town, the one thing that has constantly kept actor Dia Mirza in the news for the last few months is her impending wedding to film production partner Sahil Singha.

The pretty actor, who’s quite vocal about her relationship with the businessman, says marriage is something that will eventually happen.

“Honestly, I have no idea when the wedding will happen. Our families are ready and everyone around us wants it to happen, but we just haven’t had the time to sit down and talk about it. Actually, now that I am talking about it, we should probably get a fix on it very soon,” says Dia. So what is it that keeps the couple from taking the plunge? “Not procrastination surely, because we both want it to happen. But Sahil’s been so busy. He is juggling too many things at the moment, so yes, hopefully soon enough,” she reveals.

Even as she talks about Sahil, a smile lights up her face when she points out that her family is very happy with her choice of man.

“I have a really small family,  and my mom means the world to me. She dotes on Sahil and loves him to bits. There are these occasional ‘when are you getting married’ type of questions my mom throws my way, but otherwise, she is very happy.”

Though they haven’t marked a date as yet, Dia says she would want her wedding to be an intimate affair with her special friends in attendance. “We haven’t set a deadline to decide a date. However, the more I think about it, the more I realise that I want my wedding to be a close-knit affair. I don’t want to be stuck with 20,000 people. I want to have fun on the most important day of my life. But a big, fat party for my colleagues will happen for sure. These are the people I work with,  and I would want them to be there on a happy occasion,” reveals the former beauty queen.
Her personal life aside, Dia says that turning producer and being involved with the creative process is also probably one of her most beautiful phases in life. “Our production house is shaping up very well and we should announce our  next project by the end of August. We are working on four wonderful films and I am hoping for the best.”

Dia was recently in Singapore for the IIFA awards, where she was felicitated with a Green award for her contribution towards a greener environment. What was her reaction to it? “Zoya (Akhtar) told me that I won the most beautiful award. It feels great when you get an award outside of your film work,” she said.
