The ace designer has a line up of jewellery that will match one’s taste as well as the pocket. The designs reflect the spirit and individual style of the wearer that uses precious gems such as diamonds, emeralds and rubies, with each stone, adding grandeur to the collection.
In fact, Kothari says that she turned jewellery designer only to realise her passion for jewels.
Talking about her current line, Kothari says, “My collection is very classic. It includes intricately crafted heavy jewellery like necklaces and danglers. But it also includes casual wear jewellery with shimmering gems sweeping in an artful fringe of seductive magic along your neck — a compliment to any ensemble, versatile to dressy and formal wear.
Emphasising that her jewellery is affordable, Kothari says,”I design according to my client’s budget but without compromising on quality.”
Kothari adds that she takes care to ensure that each piece is crafted with a calculated consideration of lifelong admiration and satisfaction that is minutely emphasised in every detailing. The designer has also worked with Bollywood celebrities.
Ask her what her experience has been and she says, “I’ve designed for actors like Kareena Kapoor and Salman Khan among others. Kareena loves diamonds and pearls especially white south sea pearls.” And Salman, she says, loves bracelets.
Coming from a family of politicos, ask Purva if she is keen on getting into politics herself and she brushes the query aside instantly. “Oh not at all, there are enough of them (politicians) around me,” she chuckles.
“Besides, it is always fun to be different. I am more of a creative person and I’d love to be so” she signs off.
