Berkoff searching for new Brando

LONDON: British film director Steven Berkoff is set to bring the Marlon Brando film "On the Waterfront" to the London stage and is searching for a new face to play lead role.

According to contactmusic.com, Berkoff says, "I've been in New York meeting with Budd Schulberg about it and we're hoping it will happen.

"I'm keen to have a crack at directing it myself, but I'm not sure who should play Terry Malloy. Perhaps I should hold a nationwide search for him like Andrew Lloyd Webber has done."
