The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) exam is the ultimate for many. Aspirants spend years, studying for the toughest exam. Many even travel miles to take the best coaching classes. We hear stories of aspirants who work in the day and study at night to fulfil their goal of becoming an IAS, IPS, or IFS officer. 

Today, we will talk about an IAS officer who cracked the UPSC exam in her first attempt. 

IAS Srushti Deshmukh is an inspiration to many. With her hard work and non-shivering dedication, Deshmukh cracked the UPSC exam in the first attempt and secured a top rank. 

Srushti Deshmukh was born in 1995 and she hails from Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh. Srushti Deshmukh’s father, Jayant Deshmukh, is an engineer, while her mother, Sunita Deshmukh, is a teacher. Srishti was always good at studies and passed the Class 12 board exam with 93.4 per cent. 

After 12th, Deshmukh wanted to study engineering at IIT but could not clear the JEE. She studied at Bhopal's Lakshmi Narain College of Technology and completed her BTech in Chemical Engineering. 

After graduation, Srushti prepared for the UPSC Civil Services Exam. She cracked the toughest exam in the world in her first attempt in 2018 and secured an All India Rank (AIR) 5.
