The India Post is accepting applications for GDS Recruitment 2021 for AP Post Office, Telangana Post Office, and Delhi Post Office till February 26.
In good news for the job seekers, the India Post or Post of India issued a new notification for recruitment for the position of Gramin Dak Sevak (GDS) for the Andhra Pradesh (AP) Postal Circle, the Telangana Postal Circle, and the Delhi Postal Circle. Those who would like to apply for 3,679 vacant positions of the GDS can do so on the official website of the India Post: appost.in.
The India Post started accepting applications for the Gramin Dak Sevak Recruitment 2021 for AP Post Office, Telangana Post Office, and Delhi Post Office on January 27, and the last date of application is February 26. As for the vacancies, there are 2296 vacant posts for the AP Postal Circle, 1150 vacant posts at the Telangana Postal Circle, and 233 positions for recruitment at the Delhi Postal Circle.
Those who want to apply for the GDS Recruitment 2021 should be within the age group of 18 to 40 years. As per the norms, there are relaxations on age for reserved categories. No such relaxation is available for the Economically Weaker Sections (EWS) category though.
Only those candidates who have a Secondary School Examination (10th standard) pass certificate conducted by a Board of School recognised by the government of India or state governments or union territories with passing marks in English, the local language, and Mathematics are eligible to apply for the GDS Recruitment 2021. Candidates who studied English as part of their compulsory or elective subjects should also have studied the local language at least till 10th standard.
Candidates will be selected for the GDS posts based on the merit list.
Here's how to apply for the GDS Recruitment 2021 of the India Post:
- Candidates, who are interested to apply for the vacant posts, can apply on the official website of the India Post
- Candidates need to register through the Registration module on the website to obtain their unique registration number
- Those candidates who belong to the UR/OBC/EWS Male/Trans-man categories will be required to make the fee payments. If a confirmation is not received and the amount is deducted after making the online payments, they are required to wait for 72 hours for the settlement of the same. As for the offline payments, they can be made at a Head Post Office
- Candidates can then fill their application online, upload their documents, and submit their post preferences
- After filling the application form, candidates can preview it and take a print out as well for future use
