In an attempt to improve research and education facilities at universities, Jamia Milia Islamia and Delhi University (DU) on Saturday agreed in principle for larger sharing of resources including teachers, laboratory facilities and libraries among others.
"There is a very good coordination between DU and Jamia. We have agreed in principle to take it forward by sharing our resources to make their optimal use, Jamia Vice Chancellor Talat Ahmad said at the closing ceremony of Jamia's 96th Foundation day celebration, adding that both the central universities will shortly sign a formal MoU in this regard.
"There should be a central system by which all students from DU, JNU and JMI can come together for special events allowing greater exchange of ideas and learning," Ahmad said.
"A healthy atmosphere, transparency, fairness, freedom from prejudices and corruption are expected," said DU Vice Chancellor.
