Chennai Super Kings captain and legendary cricketer MS Dhoni is known for his humble and kind nature towards all his staff members, but one encounter with a chef from a noted 5-star hotel recently surfaced on social media, stunning the audience.

MS Dhoni, who used to be the captain of the Indian cricket team, recently went viral on social media where he was seen helping out a guard from his Ranchi farmhouse, showing that he has little to no vanity and ego of being one of the world’s leading cricketers.

However, a 5-star hotel chef named Suresh Pillai narrated an ordeal with former Indian skipper MS Dhoni and how the cricketer refused to eat the food prepared by him. This story was shared by the chef on social media and has gone viral since.

In October 2018, the Indian team was in Thiruvananthapuram to play an ODI vs West Indies. At the time, Chef Suresh Pillai had prepared a special feast for the entire team when he was working at the 5-star Hotel Leela Palace.

Suresh Pillai had prepared a special assortment of seafood for the entire team, but to his surprise, Indian captain MS Dhoni refused to eat any of the food. While other players loved the seafood, Dhoni refused to even taste it.

Narrating the incident on Twitter, the 5-star hotel chef said that the CSK skipper invited him up to his room, “For a moment, I froze. Here’s someone I have been idolizing, watching on the TV screen - calling me to his room. I dropped everything and literally ran to his room on the third floor, not even waiting for the lift.”

MS Dhoni revealed to the chef that he was allergic to seafood and had a sore throat, due to which he was not able to have any food. He made a special request for having spicy rasam, and Suresh Pillai was happy to oblige returning to his room with “Chettinad Chicken, Basmati Rice, Roasted Pappadam, and Rasam with a hearty serving of pepper and garlic.”
