Indian cricket team leg spinner Yuzvendra Chahal experienced a disappointing setback when he was not selected for the Asia Cup 2023. Furthermore, Chahal is also not included in Team India's probable squad for the ODI World Cup 2023. Despite being a part of the Indian team for the West Indies tour, Chahal's performance was lackluster, managing to take only five wickets from five T20Is.
Following his exclusion from the Indian cricket team, Chahal sought solace in the company of Bageshwar Dham Sarkar, also known as Dhirendra Shastri, in the Sikar district of Rajasthan. Chahal shared a video of their meeting on his official social media handle, accompanied by the caption "Jai Sita Ram."

The Indian cricket team selection committee has chosen wrist spinner Kuldeep Yadav over Yuzvendra Chahal due to his recent consistent performance in international cricket. Ravindra Jadeja and Axar Patel are the other two spin-bowling all-rounders who have been selected.
The Indian cricket team is set to commence their ODI World Cup 2023 campaign against Australia at the renowned M.A. Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai. This ground is well-known for its slow pitch, where spinners play a crucial role. Additionally, the team will also compete in spin-friendly venues such as Lucknow and Kolkata.
