During the 2023 World Cup game between Afghanistan and Bangladesh in Dharamsala on Saturday, October 7, fans of Virat Kohli once again took the opportunity to taunt Afghanistan pacer Naveen-ul-Haq near the boundary ropes.

A video circulating on social media captures the moment when fans can be heard chanting, 'Kohli, Kohli,' in an attempt to provoke Naveen.

For those who may not be familiar, Naveen, a player for the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) IPL franchise, found himself embroiled in a heated altercation with the renowned Royal Challengers Bangalore legend, Virat Kohli, during the previous season of the Indian Premier League.

During an IPL game, the two players exchanged heated words, resulting in fines for both parties due to their breach of the code of conduct. This incident also involved Gautam Gambhir, the mentor for LSG.

In the aftermath of their on-field clash, Naveen and Kohli resorted to exchanging enigmatic messages on Instagram, further fueling the intrigue surrounding their feud.

Now, in Dharamsala, fans of Kohli attempted to taunt Naveen on behalf of their beloved cricketer, who boasts the largest social media following among all cricketers worldwide.

In an interview, Naveen-ul-Haq revealed that the chants of 'Kohli, Kohli' do not affect him negatively. On the contrary, they serve as a catalyst, igniting a fiery passion within him on the cricket field.

"I enjoy it. I like that everybody on the ground is chanting his name or any other player's name. It gives me passion to play well for my team. I don't concentrate on the outside noise. I just focus on my own cricket."

"As professional sportsmen, you have to take it in your stride. One day you will not do your best for the team and these fans are going to give it to you. On another day, you'll do a special thing for your team and the same people are going to chant your name," he continued.

Naveen-ul-Haq is set to showcase his skills against India at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi on Wednesday, October 11th. This highly anticipated match marks the first encounter between Naveen and Kohli since their last clash during the IPL.
