The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) is considered to be the richest cricket board in the entire world, maintaining the high salaries and amenities for the national team. However, the BCCI also employees the world’s highest paid cricket coach – Rahul Dravid.

Rahul Dravid, the current coach of the Indian cricket team headed by Rohit Sharma, is considered to be the highest paid cricket coach not just in India but the entire country. His salary is more than that of many cricket players as well.

According to the official pay grade, Rahul Dravid gets paid Rs 12 crore annually at the position of the head coach of Team India in all international formats. He was momentarily replaced by veteran player VVS Laxman, who earned Rs 50 lakhs per month at the post.

Rahul Dravid’s yearly income as the head coach of Team India is more than that of any former coach of the squad, including veteran coaches Ravi Shastri and Anil Kumble. Ravi Shastri, however, was a close second on the list with a yearly salary of Rs 9.5 crore during his tenure as the head coach.

After Rahul Dravid and Ravi Shastri, former Team Australia cricket coach Justin Langer was one of the highest paid cricket coaches of all time, with a whopping salary of Rs 4.5 crores. However, his pay was no match for the BCCI salary of Rahul Dravid.

Not only this, but the salary of Rahul Dravid as the head coach of Team India is also higher than some of the star players of the team such as Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma and Hardik Pandya. While Rahul Dravid earns Rs 12 crore per year, the BCCI pays Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma Rs 7 crore per year as per the 2022-23 contract.

Rahul Dravid was appointed as the interim coach for Team India in 2021 succeeding veteran cricket Ravi Shastri at the post, and the former Team India player was soon made the permanent head coach of the country.
