Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) on Thursday confirmed that the 2021 edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) will resume from June 9 and the final will take place on Thursday, June 24. The 15th match of the tournament will take place on June 9 between the fourth-placed Lahore Qalandars and the third-placed Islamabad United.

All the matches will take place at Sheikh Zayed Stadium in Abu Dhabi, with six double headers including Qualifier 1 as the first two games of the playoffs - Qualifier 1 and the Eliminator will take place on the same day on Monday, June 21.

The PCB had a logistical nightmare before shifting the tournament to Abu Dhabi as several members of the crew were from India and the travel restrictions were not helping their cause. However, after discussions at length with the government, the PCB was able to get permission after the said members completed their isolation period in Dubai before they entered Abu Dhabi and joined the league's bubble.

The players arriving from Pakistan, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka have completed their 7-day mandatory quarantine and the Qalandars and the Islamabad side even had their first training session before the opening encounter after the resumption.

The teams will train from June 3 to June 8 and will remain in Abu Dhabi till June 25, before Pakistan player leave for their international assignment against England starting July 8
