Former Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) skipper David Warner posted an emotional message for his fans and supporters of the Orange Army, minutes after the toss of his side's final game in the league stage of IPL 2021 against the Mumbai Indians. Warner was not included in SRH's playing XI as they brought in Afghan off-spinning all-rounder Mohammad Nabi in place of skipper Kane Williamson, who sit out of the game due to an elbow niggle.

Warner, who had lost his captaincy midway during the season in the first half, played his last game against the Punjab Kings, which SRH lost by five runs chasing a score of 126 runs and since then he didn't even come to the ground for three games and was cheering his side from the stands in the final two as the franchises are allowed to bring only 18 players to the ground.

Taking to Instagram, David Warner wrote, "Thank You for the memories created. To all the fans, you have been a driving force for our team always to give 100%. I can't thank you all enough for the support shown. It's been a great ride. My family and I are going to miss you all!! #respect #cricket #hyderabad One last effort today."

Warner, who struggled with his strike rate in the first half scored 195 runs in eight games at an average of 24, striking at 107.7, has been a force to reckon with for seven years he has played for the franchise and led them to their only title in the 2016 season.

Warner has scored the most number of runs for the franchise in the IPL, 4014 runs in just 95 games at an average of 49.5, including 40 half-centuries and two hundreds.

Now not playing in the side's last few games, he may have suggested that he played his last for the franchise and with a mega-auction coming ahead of the next year's IPL, Warner may have decided that he wants to move on and may be seen in the new colours.
