Last month, after much anticipation, the schedule for the Asia Cup 2023 was finally unveiled by Jay Shah, the Secretary of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) and the head of the Asian Cricket Council (ACC). The match timings were announced on Tuesday, adding to the excitement surrounding the tournament.

This year, the tournament will adopt a hybrid model, a decision made by Shah last year, which means that India will not be traveling to Pakistan for the event. Instead, the matches will be held in various locations.

The tournament will kick off with an exhilarating match between Pakistan and Nepal in Multan, Pakistan, on August 30. However, the most highly anticipated clash between India and Pakistan will take place in Kandy, Sri Lanka, on September 2. This match is sure to captivate cricket fans around the world.

In addition, India will also face Nepal in another group stage match on September 4, which will be held at the same venue in Kandy.

The matches will start 3pm IST on all days.

Pakistan will be hosting three group stage matches and one Super Four stage match in the upcoming Asia Cup. The remaining matches of the tournament will be held in Sri Lanka, with the final taking place in Colombo on September 17.

The 2023 edition of the Asia Cup will feature two groups, with the top two teams from each group advancing to the Super Four stage. In this stage, all teams will compete against each other once. The top two sides from the Super Four stage will then battle it out in the final.

There is a possibility of India and Pakistan facing each other three times in the Asia Cup, provided the results align accordingly. However, for this scenario to unfold, both India and Pakistan must first qualify for the Super Four stage. If they manage to secure the top positions in that stage, they will once again meet in the final.

The participating teams in the continental event include India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Afghanistan, and Nepal.
