Who is Vandana Luthra?
Vandana Luthra, who was born on July 12th, 1956, in Delhi, comes from an influential family. She was raised with a strong appreciation for wellness and personal growth by her mother, an Ayurvedic doctor, and her father, a mechanical engineer.
Luthra followed her education at the Polytechnic for Women in New Delhi, fostering a strong passion to bring about change, inspired by her mother's values and a drive to have a beneficial effect on society. Luthra continued her exploration of Europe after finishing her studies by visiting France, Germany, and the United Kingdom.
She completed her formal cosmetology and nutrition studies in Germany, where she also became well-versed in the fields of lifestyle care, nutrition, and the fitness and beauty industries. Vandana came to the realization that she was naturally gifted at observing and understanding what people wanted from the healthcare and beauty industries.
The wellness and beauty industries were predicted to expand by her intuition. She wanted to start a company that promoted a complete approach to well-being by fusing wellness and beauty. Her ambitions began to take shape when Vandana married Mukesh Luthra in 1989. Vandana and her husband began construction on the VLCC health center in Delhi with Rs 20,000.

VLCC was established in 1989 with a focus on eating habits and fitness regimens for managing weight. The company's focus on comprehensive dietary changes, physical activity programs, and cutting-edge skin and hair procedures attracted customers.
In today's modern Indian homes, the VLCC name has grown to stand for skincare and beauty. Over 139 cities and 12 countries in South Asia, Southeast Asia, and East Africa are served by the brand. She is also the Center's Beauty & Wellness Sector Skill Council's chair.
Along with being an entrepreneur, Vandana is also passionate about empowering women. Over seventy percent of the 3,000 employees in her brand are female. She has received tremendous praise for her efforts to the profession. Luthra received the esteemed Padma Shri, the fourth-highest civilian award in India, for her exceptional services.
