Sushant Singh Rajput's domestic help Deepesh Sawant arrested, will reveal details as government witness

Meanwhile, the NCB also arrested Rhea Chakraborty's brother Showik and Sushant's friend Samuel Miranda. The two were remanded to judicial custody for 4-days by the court during their court appearance today.

The probe in the death case of Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput is ongoing with the Central Bureau of Investigation, the Enforcement Directorate and the Narcotics Control Bureau, all investigating the matter from different angles.

The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB), which is investigating the drugs angle in the case, made the eighth arrest late Saturday evening. The authorities have arrested Sushant Singh Rajput's domestic help Deepesh Sawant. As per inputs from sources, the NCB is going to produce Deepesh as a government witness in the court.

Earlier, in furtherance of the Sushant case, the NCB had arrested 5 persons Abbas, Karan, Zaid, Basit and Kaizan on Friday. Out of these, Abbas and Karan were granted bail shortly thereafter. While Kaizan was granted bail on Saturday. 

Meanwhile, the NCB also arrested Rhea Chakraborty's brother Showik and Sushant's friend Samuel Miranda. The two were remanded to judicial custody for 4-days by the court during their court appearance today. 

In the meantime, NCB Deputy DG, South-Western Region, Mutha Ashok Jain said, that in Sushant's case, the department was looking for a big fish. He said, the authorities have been handed over several important evidences during the investigation.

Earlier, a statement by the NCB read, "In the ongoing investigation, wherein seven persons were arrested so far and three (Showik, Samuel Miranda and Zaid) are on NCB remand. Today on 05/09/2020, at 8 PM Dipesh Sawant has been arrested. He joined the investigation yesterday at 10 PM. He was subjected to interrogation and confrontation with Showik, Samuel Miranda, Zaid and Kaizan. His statement u/s 67 NDPS Act was recorded and on the basis of enough corroborative evidences, he has been placed under arrest under the provisions of NDPS Act. He will be produced before the concerned court at Esplanade Court at 11 AM. No summons have been issued to any other person today by NCB. Further investigation in this case is underway."
