On Tuesday, actor Kalki Koechlin shared a stunning solo photo of herself from a photo shoot, which she did just three weeks after giving birth to her baby girl, Sappho. In the photo, a 'serious' Kalki is seen sitting on a chair striking a pose dressed in a beige button-down midi-dress teamed with tan loafers and a wristwatch.

And while the photo seemed gorgeous, it was Kalki's long caption that caught our attention. In her caption, Kalki narrated her experience of returning to work - being tired, anxious, sleep-deprived and running to feed her baby girl in between shots. However, she also mentioned how with the passage of time, her perspective had changed and she was grateful now more than ever.

She wrote, "Shot in March 2020, 3 weeks after giving birth, one week before lockdown. I had hardly slept, was tired, anxious and anti-social as I ran back to the van to feed my girl in between shots. Going back to work seemed like such a struggle after what my body had gone through."

Kalki added how she would have thought about all of it differently had she known that she would have to spend months inside four-walls due to the coronavirus induced lockdown.

She added, "If only I'd known I was going to have to spend the rest of the year between four walls, maybe I would've smiled more at this last window of employment."

"But I guess the intense look of a woman who's going through a huge upheaval has its place too. I'm grateful now, for it all. The perspective that comes with time passing," she concluded her note.

Kalki and her life partner, Guy Hershberg, welcomed their first child, Sappho, on February 7, 2020.

In an interview with HT Brunch, Kalki had opened up about the unique name for her daughter Sappho. She said, "I've chosen a name that works for either gender and that is representative of a gay person because I want my child to have that freedom of movement under the many umbrellas of gender that we have."

On the work front, Kalki was last seen in the Netflix anthology 'Paava Kadhaigal'. Her next project is a film titled 'Scholarship', directed by Raman Bharadwaj.
