Here's what Shilpa Shetty has to say about dating Salman Khan a few years back

Shilpa Shetty Kundra and Salman Khan share a cordial bond and have quite a friendly equation. 

The two, who worked together in films, including Dus, Garv: Pride and Honour, Auzaar, Phir Milenge and Shaadi Karke Phas Gaya Yaar, among others, were once said to have been dating each other. 

For the uninitiated, couple of years back the rumour mills had it that the two were dating each other, but never had, either Shilpa or Salman addressed the rumours. 

However now, Shilpa has finally opened up about her relationship rumours with Bharat actor Salman Khan.

In an interview with the Deccan Chronicle, the actress shared that it was nothing more than a friendship. 

She also went on to say that Salman was friends with her father as well.

In fact, Salman would come to her house at midnight and if she was asleep by then, he used to share a drink or two with her dad! 

Shilpa said, “We didn’t go out on a date as such. In those days, actors shared a great camaraderie.” 

Shilpa further shared, “Salman is a very humble, loving and grounded human being. I remember, he would come to my house even at midnight sometimes, and by that time I’d already be asleep. Then Salman and my dad would sit down and drink a few pegs together. I remember, when my dad passed away, Salman came home, went straight to the bar table, laid his head down on it and cried.” 

Shilpa Shetty Kundra is now happily married to businessman Raj Kundra. The two tied the knot on November 22, 2009, and continue to be madly in love with each other and are parents to son Viaan Kundra.
