Argentina ended its 28-year drought for a major international trophy on Sunday at Maracana Stadium.

Lionel Messi who is regarded by many as the best ever has claimed his first major title with his national team as Argentina defeated Brazil 1-0 in the Copa America final at Maracana Stadium.
The side ended its 28-year drought for a major international trophy on Sunday courtesy of Angel Di Maria's lone goal in the final.
Soon as the clash ended with Argentina on the winning side, fans stormed Twitter praising and calling Messi 'G.O.A.T' (Greatest Of All Time).

The Blue and White team's previous Copa America title was in 1993. Since then, Messi & Co lost four finals and one World Cup final.
The Barcelona legend has won everything at the club level and now has added a major title with his country apart from a 2008 gold medal in the Olympics to his name. The 34-year-old has 10 La Liga titles, 4 UEFA Champions League medals, and 6 Ballon d'Or awards.
