Even before Vinesh Phogat took her first steps on the mat for the Asian Games 2018 final on Monday, her uncle and wrestling coach Mahavir Phogat tweeted, “Yeh baat yaad rakhna, beti Vinesh Phogat, gold jeeti toh misaal bun jayegi aur misale  di jaati hai, bhulayi nahi jaati. Apne desh ka jhanda sabse upar leke jaana hai.”

Mahavir left Vinesh a message saying if she won gold, she would become history and also asked her to make her country proud.

Last year, Aamir Khan-starrer Bollywood movie Dangal was based on the life of Mahavir Phogat narrating how he had trained his daughters – Geeta Phogat and Babita Kumari – to successful wrestlers.

Mahavir’s tweet was a dialogue from Dangal. Meanwhile, Vinesh is Mahavir’s younger brother’s daughter who also trained under Mahavir.

From megastar Amitabh Bachchan to Mr perfectionist Aamir Khan, stars have come in unison to laud wrestler Vinesh Phogat, who bagged a gold medal in women's 50 kg freestyle wrestling category at the ongoing 2018 Asian Games.
The 23-year-old thrashed her Japanese opponent Yuki Irie to become the first female gold medal winner at the Asiad.
Big B took to Twitter to congratulate Phogat and said she has made everyone proud.

On the other hand, Aamir praised Vinesh by reiterating his famous dialogue from Dangal, a film based on the Phogat family.

He wrote, "Congratulations Vinesh for winning the Gold in the Asian Games. We are all so proud of you. Love, Aamir and the team of Dangal. Mhaari chhoriyan chhoron se kam hai ke!?
