BWF World Championships 2019: PV Sindhu knocks out Chen Yu Fei to enter final

Indian Shuttler PV Sindhu knocked out Chen Yu Fei from China 21-7, 21-14 to claim her spot in the final of the 2019 BWF World Championships in Basel on Saturday.

The 24-year-old absolutely took off and won it in straight games, inside 39 minutes.

Sindhu dominated the first game against her Chinese opponent as Fei lost the first game 21-7.

She kept building on her momentum in the second game and kept playing in an aggressive manner. Her tactics paid off as he claimed her spot in the final of World Championships. 

Yesterday, P. V Sindhu knocked out 25-year-old Tai Tzu Ying in the quarterfinals.

This was a massive upset for the current world number two from Chinese Taipei.

After a rough start to the match, P. V Sindhu brought it back on the day to 12-21, 23-21, 21-19 and secured her spot in the Semis of World Championships.

The was also her second consecutive win for Sindhu against Tai Tzu Ying and prior to this, the 24-year-old Indian had a string of 6 consecutive losses against her.

Last year in December, Sindhu defeated the-then World number one ranked Tai at the BWF World Tour Finals.
